This past monday Alais, her father rob and I met up with her sister Lauren and her husband Nick at Pancake Pantry in Nashville, TN for breakfast. Pancake Pantry is right across the street from Vanderbilt Medical Hospital and I can only picture it during the semester packed to the gills with several hundred twenty-somethings. There was a line out of the door when we showed up but it appeared to be mostly youth-groups, families and tourists like us.
The menu was what you would expect from the restaurants name with a few pleasant southern surprises such as cheese grits. Of the few menu items I sampled I would highly recommend the sweety potato pancakes and the georgia peach pancakes.
The service was excellent, the waitress was very patient and accomodating even though we occupied her table for about an hour and a half.
